We are partnering with a global technology services provider who is seeking a Network Provisioning Engineer to join a specialised team responsible for delivering and maintaining network connectivity across large-scale data centre environments. This team plays a critical role in ensuring reliable connectivity between data centres and external network providers, enabling the seamless flow of global internet traffic.
This is an excellent opportunity for a network engineer with experience in ISP or Data Centre environments who enjoys working on real-world internet infrastructure, troubleshooting complex network connectivity issues, and supporting high-availability production networks.
The Role:
As a Network Provisioning Engineer, you will be responsible for provisioning, validating, and supporting network connectivity across a large-scale infrastructure environment.
You will work closely with internal engineering teams, data centre operations teams, and external providers to ensure cross-connects and network circuits are deployed, tested, and operating reliably.
This role sits within a Network Provisioning team, meaning your focus will be on implementing and supporting network connectivity rather than designing architecture. Strong troubleshooting and operational expertise are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provision and support network connectivity between data centres and external service providers
- Coordinate and validate cross-connect deployments within data centre environments
- Work with ISPs and data centre providers to establish and troubleshoot physical and logical network connections
- Perform L2/L3 network troubleshooting across production environments
- Configure and validate routing protocols such as BGP
- Support network provisioning activities including circuit turn-up, validation, and connectivity testing
- Troubleshoot network incidents impacting connectivity to upstream providers or data centre infrastructure
- Work with multi-vendor network equipment including Cisco, Juniper, and Huawei
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams to ensure network deployments follow operational standards
- Maintain documentation for provisioning activities and network configurations
Experience:
- Experience working as a Network Engineer / Network Provisioning Engineer / NOC Engineer (L2)
- Hands-on experience working with Cisco, Juniper, or Huawei networking equipment
- Experience with BGP routing and internet connectivity
- Experience provisioning or troubleshooting cross-connects within data centres
- Strong Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking knowledge
- Experience working with ISPs, carriers, or data centre network environments
- Strong troubleshooting and incident resolution skills
- Experience validating network circuits and connectivity to upstream providers
