- Take part in production network and internet peering strategies
- Verse with networking technologies relative to content delivery network, monitoring capacity and peering traffic.
- Perform Day-to-day activities involve working on multiple vendor servers and various software and hardware issues
- Work with multiple TAC vendors to fix the hardware issues
- Handle traffic and any other queries raised by ISP/partners
- Capable of driving the first level of Escalations reported by the team.
- Capability to prepare both Technical and Process MOP and circulating with other Team Leads.
- Support team in handling network and traffic peering for any Layer 1 to Layer 3 issues.
- Capability to drive data insights and report them on and as required.
- Participating in multiple meetings and providing weekly presentations related to Network Performance and Escalations.
- Work with ISP/vendors on fixing any issues related to network
- Jointly working with the Regional and Other region Team Leads.
- Provide 24/7 support with other teams across the globe. Some weekend work may be required with weekdays off.
- Other ad-hoc duties.
Requirements
- Possesses Bachelor's degree (B.S/B.A) and 7+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Able to builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Knowledge in network and traffic peering
- Knowledge in fiber-optic technology including cable types, connector types, optic types, patch panels, and optical transport technologies will be advantages.
- Able to prepare root cause analysis for any network and server outages.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to work with service providers, colocation facilities, and ISPs around the world
- Knowledgeable about the different Network Protocols like OSPF/ISIS and BGP
- Deep knowledge in DWDMs involving multiple vendors like Cienna, Infinera and Cisco NCS.
- Knowledgeable on Layer 1-3 troubleshooting.
- Possesses CCNP/JNCIP certification
- Any expertise in the field of Optical is a plus.
