Job Description
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain network and firewall environments, including Cisco, Fortinet, F5, Check Point, and Palo Alto.
- Manage network device patching, firmware upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
- Perform patch assessments and recommend deployment plans based on security and operational requirements.
- Use patch management tools such as NetBot or equivalent tools to support patch deployment and tracking.
- Conduct pre-patching and post-patching checks and automate routine patching tasks.
- Troubleshoot patching, firmware upgrade, and network-related issues.
- Manage Cisco IOS/IOS-XE platforms and support network flow analysis.
- Configure and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, IPAM, routing, and switching technologies.
- Manage VLANs, Ethernet, STP, link aggregation, routing protocols, and standard/extended access control lists (ACLs).
- Monitor network logs, device health, and patch compliance.
- Follow change management procedures and support SLA-driven operations, including weekend shifts and on-call support.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience in Network and Firewall Administration.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, F5, Check Point, Palo Alto, or other enterprise network and firewall technologies.
- Strong experience in network device patching, firmware upgrades, and vulnerability management.
- Experience with Cisco IOS/IOS-XE and patch management tools such as NetBot or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of network flows, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
- Experience with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, and switching technologies such as VLANs, STP, and Ethernet.
- Knowledge of standard and extended ACLs and network security principles.
- Experience with patch assessment, pre-patching and post-patching validation, and automation.
- Strong troubleshooting and log monitoring skills.
- Experience working in an SLA-driven environment, with flexibility to work weekends and provide on-call support.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
