We are currently seeking an experienced Network Engineer (WAN) to join our dedicated Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be the subject matter expert responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our wide area network solutions. Your primary goal will be to guarantee the reliability, security, and high performance of our global network services.

Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Implementation: Design, deploy, and manage robust WAN solutions, including MPLS, VPN, and SD-WAN technologies.
Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor network performance, analyze metrics, and troubleshoot complex WAN-related issues to ensure maximum uptime.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (Systems, Security, and Applications) to enhance end-user experience and achieve critical system performance targets.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and operational processes for compliance and knowledge sharing.
Capacity Planning: Participate in network capacity planning and forecasting to anticipate growth and ensure long-term reliability.
Project Support: Provide high-level technical assistance during the deployment of new network components, sites, and services.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and service providers to negotiate solutions, troubleshoot carrier issues, and optimize costs.
Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging WAN technologies to propose continuous improvements to the existing infrastructure.
Qualifications & Requirements
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:
Experience: Minimum of 4 years in network engineering with a specific focus on WAN technologies.
Technical Depth: Strong, hands-on knowledge of WAN protocols and technologies, including MPLS, SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF, and IPsec VPNs.
Hardware Proficiency: Proven experience configuring and managing routing and switching devices from vendors such as Cisco (ASR/ISR series), Juniper (MX series), or equivalent enterprise-grade hardware.
Monitoring Expertise: Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios) and a deep understanding of performance metrics (latency, jitter, packet loss).
Core Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP stack, subnetting, VLANs, and QoS mechanisms.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
A proactive attitude towards learning emerging technologies and network advancements.
Preferred Qualifications (Advantageous)
Certifications: Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent (JNCIP, ACMP) networking certifications.
Experience with Automation (Python, Ansible) or Network as Code principles.
