Summary:
We are seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and support network and infrastructure solutions for large-scale transportation systems. The role involves producing detailed network designs, coordinating with internal teams, customers, and vendors, and overseeing implementation, testing, and commissioning activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in IP/MPLS, SDH, 4G/5G, and cybersecurity, with experience in mission-critical infrastructure projects.
Requirements:
- Produce detailed design, specifications, and costing for network and infrastructure solutions.
- Interface with customers, internal engineering teams, and vendors for design and product definition.
- Evaluate and recommend suitable network products and systems.
- Lead testing and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Track progress of design and interface tasks, ensuring timely delivery of documentation and deliverables.
- Perform network troubleshooting, issue analysis, and capacity optimization.
- Implement cybersecurity measures including system hardening, firewalls, and antivirus solutions.
- Develop automation scripts for configuration and deployment.
- Support structured cabling, fibre/copper design, and wireless (4G/5G/Wi-Fi) networks.
- Ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Telecommunications Engineering.
- Professional certifications preferred: CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, HCIA, HCIP, JNCIE, or equivalent vendor certifications.
- Strong knowledge of SDH, SR-MPLS, MPLS-TP, IP/MPLS, Ethernet, and cable network design
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Windows, Linux).
- Skilled in network administration, troubleshooting (Wireshark), and security design.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
