Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Device Monitoring:

Regularly check network devices for connectivity and performance.
Monitor the health status of all network devices to ensure they are functioning correctly.

2. Backup Management:

Perform regular backups of network configurations and critical data.
Ensure backup processes are reliable and data can be restored efficiently.

3. Configuration Management:

Implement and document configuration changes to network devices.
Maintain accurate records of all configuration changes.

4. Firewall Rule Review:

Regularly review and update firewall rules to ensure network security.
Collaborate with the security team to address any vulnerabilities.

5. Network Device Hardening:

Apply best practices to harden network devices against potential threats.
Ensure all devices are configured securely and comply with company policies.

6. Patch Management:

Apply patches and updates to network devices to protect against vulnerabilities.
Keep track of patch levels and ensure all devices are up-to-date.

Preferred Skills:

Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
Experience with network automation tools and scripting.
