Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer (L2) to manage and support enterprise and cloud-based network infrastructures in a 24x7 global support environment. The role requires strong expertise in troubleshooting complex network issues, leading critical incidents and ensuring high availability and performance across hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve network incidents and service requests via ServiceNow within defined SLAs
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and lead critical incident calls with customers and vendors
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and break-fix support across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud networks
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures
- Ensure end-to-end ownership of issues in a high-pressure, SLA-driven environment
- Drive process improvements and ensure adherence to operational standards
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
- Perform testing, validation, and periodic audits
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality
- Collaborate with global teams in a Follow-the-Sun support model
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in network engineering
- Strong expertise in Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, QoS)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco (ASR, ISR, Catalyst, Nexus) and Cisco Meraki
- Experience with SD-WAN (Cisco Viptela)
- Knowledge of AWS/Azure networking and hybrid cloud integration
- Experience with F5 Load Balancers
- Strong troubleshooting skills with tools like Wireshark
