Role Description
This is an on-site Network Engineer (L1/L2) shift-based contract role located in Singapore. The Network Engineer will oversee network administration, monitor and maintain network systems, ensure high levels of performance, and troubleshoot complex network issues to ensure smooth operations. The role also involves configuring, implementing, and enhancing network design and security to meet organizational needs while collaborating with technical teams to support system optimization.
Network Engineer L1

Job Summary
The L1 Network Engineer is responsible for monitoring and providing first-level support for enterprise network infrastructure. The role involves responding to alerts, performing initial troubleshooting, and escalating complex network issues to L2/L3 teams to ensure high availability and performance of network systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor enterprise network infrastructure including WAN routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Provide first-level support for SD-WAN, VPN connectivity, and network security alerts.
- Monitor network traffic and performance using Cisco NetFlow Collector and other monitoring tools.
- Perform basic troubleshooting for LAN/WAN connectivity issues.
- Escalate complex incidents to L2/L3 teams following ITIL incident management processes.
- Assist with operational support in Cisco ACI environments.
- Monitor alerts from IDPS, WAF, and NAC security systems.
- Ensure uptime of network devices such as SAN switches, routers, and F5 load balancers.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps in ticketing systems.
- Follow standard operating procedures and change management processes.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP networking fundamentals.
- Understanding of VPN technologies and firewall concepts.
- Familiarity with SD-WAN architecture.
- Basic knowledge of network security protocols: IPSec, SSL/TLS, 802.1x.
- Exposure to Cisco networking technologies.
- Basic knowledge of Python or Ansible automation tools (preferred).
- Good troubleshooting and communication skills.

Job Summary
The L2 Network Engineer is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, configuration, and support of enterprise network infrastructure including security devices, SD-WAN, and data center networking environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide second-level support for complex network incidents escalated from L1 teams.
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, SAN switches, and WAN infrastructure.
- Manage and troubleshoot SD-WAN deployments.
- Configure and maintain F5 Load Balancers.
- Manage enterprise firewalls such as Check Point and Palo Alto.
- Implement and support VPN technologies (IPSec and SSL VPN).
- Manage network security tools including IDPS, WAF, and NAC.
- Analyze network traffic using Cisco NetFlow Collector.
- Implement network automation using Python, Ansible, and orchestration tools.
- Support Cisco ACI data center networking environments.
- Participate in network upgrades, patching, and infrastructure improvements.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and routing protocols.
- Experience with SD-WAN architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Check Point / Palo Alto firewalls.
