Network Engineer (CVE, Datacenter, NetBot, SME)

Role: Network & Firewall Administrator (L3)

Main Purpose:
Responsible for CVE assessment, patch planning and scheduling, vulnerability management, hardening, troubleshooting (L3 level), and reporting for all network and firewall devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Cisco, Fortinet, F5, Aruba, and Palo Alto environments.
• Hands-on experience with ACI, Cisco, Arista, F5, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, and Huawei.
• Perform patch management and vulnerability management (mandatory).
• Troubleshoot patching and firmware upgrade issues (mandatory).
• Execute network and firewall patching, rollback, and reporting.
• Use patch management tools such as NetBot or similar.
• Conduct patch assessments and recommend deployment plans.
• Automate pre- and post-patching tasks.
• Perform BIOS and firmware upgrades.
• Strong understanding of network flows, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, VLANs, routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and switching (STP, bundling).
• Configure and manage standard/extended access lists.
• Perform log monitoring and maintenance.

Skills & Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience in Network and Firewall Administration.
• Strong hands-on technical background (not purely managerial).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in SLA-driven environments with multiple customers.
• Proven leadership and vendor management experience.
• Proficient in preparing SOPs, inventory, and SLA reports.
• Ability to enable cross-skilling and drive operational improvements.
• Flexible to work on weekends (as per roster) and provide off-hours support.
• Certification: CCNP (Mandatory).
