Maintain, update, configure, and optimize the company network infrastructure (including firewalls, Layer 2/3 managed switches, wireless APs, etc)
Establish, monitor, and enforce secure networking for all networking environments by way of proper firewall policies, IDSs, VPNs, VLANs, IP subnetting, vulnerability assessments, etc
Troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve network issues across company networks
Maintain and create network documentation and architecture to ensure high availability, maintainability, and compliancy for both existing and future needs.
Work with the system engineering team to ensure that network requirements and security policies for company systems are met
Assist with dev-ops networking requirements for the internal software development team as and when needed.
Assist the in-house technical team with networking issues as and when required
Stay current with trends and security threats
Work with vendors for hardware procurement, support escalations, and contract maintenance.
Ensure sufficient network redundancy and establish network disaster recovery plans to meet established SLAs.
Job Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or a related field
2-4 years of work experience in network administration or an equivalent
Current knowledge of network security best-practices and protocols.
Proficiency in using network monitoring tools and performance management solutions.
Familiarity with networking hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).
Knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, IPSec, etc).
Professional certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are welcome but not required.
Some experience in scripting (eg: Bash, Python, etc) is welcome but not required.
Comfortable internalised understanding of networking fundamentals and theory (eg: routing, switching, VLANs, IPs, etc)
Analytical skills for problem-solving and troubleshooting.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Attention to detail to ensure network reliability and efficiency.
