Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network and Security Equipment Management:

. Support and manage routers, switches, firewalls,Intrusion

. Detection/Intrusion Prevention System, VPNgateways, proxies, Wire Lan

. Controllers, Network Access Control appliances,load balancers, Network

. Management System, other network and firewalldevices.

. Perform day-to-day network and securityoperations, including monitoring and managing network infrastructure.

2. Incident and Problem Management:

. Respond to network incidents according toseverity levels and meet service level requirements.

. Handle high-pressure situations, identifyproblems, and make quick decisions to resolve issues.

. Adhere to incident management workflows andprocedures.

3. Documentation and Reporting:

. Maintain and update network diagrams,configuration records, inventory, RMA records, and incident reports.

. Provide timely and accurate reports on networkperformance, capacity planning, and incident analysis.

4. Collaboration and Coordination:

. Work closely with third-party vendors,telecommunication operators, ISPs, and other service providers.

. Participate in transition planning and supportthe onboarding of network and security systems.

5. Compliance and Training:

. Ensure compliance with company policies,information security guidelines, and health and safety regulations.

. Provide continuous training to enhance knowledgeand skills in network administration and management.

Qualifications:

Education: Diploma in Information Technology or arelated field.

Experience:

. Level 1: Minimum of 3 years of experience inmanaging network and security infrastructure.

Certifications:

. Level 1: ITIL certified, CCNA or equivalentnetwork certifications.

Skills:

. Strong technical knowledge of network andsecurity systems.

. Excellent problem-solving and decision-makingskills.

. Ability to work independently and as part of ateam.

. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

. Ability to work on standby, including nights,weekends, and holidays.

. On standby and contactable 24/7 for support andescalation.
