Network Engineer

A leading global investment company is seeking aNetwork Engineerto join itsglobal production engineering teambased in Singapore. This role is ideal for professionals with at least 7 years of experience in network infrastructure design and planning, and technical implementation, looking to contribute to a fast-paced and innovative environment.

You will be responsible for developing detailed technical specifications, executing projects and ensuring standardized technical implementation, testing, validating and conducting quality assurance, and creating documentation to ensure a smooth operational handoff. The role involves cross-functional collaboration to deliver timely project deliverables to meet technical and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical specifications, network topology diagrams, and implementation plans for standardized DMZ, Colo and DC deployments.
• Coordinate the hands-on installation with our global data centre team.
• Manage the configuration and deployment of network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Coordinate with vendors, manage equipment installation through our global data centre team, oversee cabling infrastructure, and ensure all implementations follow established change management procedures and minimize business disruption.
• Work closely with senior network leads, project managers and team members to ensure project deliverables meet technical and business objectives.
• Facilitate technical discussions, provide regular project updates, manage expectations, and serve as the primary technical contact for your allocated environment build throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Execute comprehensive test plans, perform post-implementation validation, and execute rollback procedures when necessary, including network performance testing, and site resilience testing, ensuring all systems meet SLA requirements before production handover.
• Create detailed technical documentation including network diagrams, configuration templates and operational procedures.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with operations teams ensuring a smooth transition from project implementation to ongoing network operations and maintenance.

Key Qualifications

Experience in managing a global network platform, includingInternet / B2B DMZ's

• Experience testing and planning the deployment of router and switch platforms
• In-depth knowledge of data centre design principles, products and protocols

Good appreciation of Network Security architectures, models and methodologies

• Extensive technical experience (Project Deployment) using many of the following:Cisco Routers, Switches, Nexus, Cisco NX-OS, IOS-XR, Juniper JunOS, IDS/IPS
• Support, Design and product experience with firewalls Juniper JunOs and Palo Alto
• Security hardening on various platforms. Familiar with industry best practices in network security
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Solid experience managing, configuring and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure and OCI)
• Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Good project management skills
• Broad technical experience in engineering and implementing networking technologies within a large Enterprise

Having experience integrating with public cloud environments and exposure to a financial industry will be preferred.
