Network and Infrastructure Engineer

The Network and Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for producing detailed designs and implementing network and infrastructure solutions for telecommunications systems in transportation projects. The role involves designing, specifying, and costing network solutions while collaborating with customers, suppliers, and system-wide designers. Additionally, the position involves leading site implementations, testing, and commissioning network systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and specify detailed network and infrastructure solutions, including interpreting requirements and interfacing with customer engineers, system-wide designers, suppliers, and vendors.
• Evaluate and recommend suitable products and systems, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Lead testing activities during site implementation and commissioning, ensuring timely delivery.
• Track progress of design and interface tasks, producing engineering drawings, specifications, and design reports.
• Expedite responses and deliverables with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

• Strong professional knowledge and experience in network design and implementation for technologies such as SDH, MPLS-TP, IP/MPLS, Ethernet, cable networks (fiber, copper), 4G/5G/Wi-Fi, virtualization (VMware, Windows, Linux), and cybersecurity (hardening, firewalls, antivirus).
• Hands-on experience in network troubleshooting, capacity optimization, and network security design.
• Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness in problem-solving.
• Strong ability to make well-considered technical decisions independently or in collaboration with others.
• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Telecommunications Engineering.
• Strong advantage with professional qualifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCDA or Huawei HCIA, HCIP...
