Role Description
A Network Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and security of an organization's computer networks. This role ensures network reliability, performance, and connectivity while supporting users and IT infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs)
- Monitor network performance, uptime, and security
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues for users and systems
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and network resources
- Implement and enforce network security policies and protocols
- Perform regular network backups, updates, and patch management
- Document network configurations, procedures, and changes

Qualifications

- 25 years of experience in network administration or IT support
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Experience with network hardware, firewalls, and monitoring tools
- Understanding of cybersecurity practices and risk management
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Cisco Certified Professional
