Position: Music Teacher & Floating Preschool Teacher
MapleBear Little Campus is seeking a dedicated and creative Music Teacher who will conduct engaging music lessons for pre-schoolers and, when lessons are not in session, support as a floating teacher to assist classroom teachers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct music and movement lessons for preschoolers, aligned with MapleBear's curriculum and enrichment programmes.
- Work collaboratively with children, teachers, and the school community to create fun, educational music activities that enrich class-initiated inquiries.
- Provide opportunities for children to express themselves and make discoveries through songs, lyrics, movement, and performance-related music.
- Meet regularly with class teachers and the curriculum coordinator to integrate music with current classroom themes and learning goals.
- Maintain a high standard of teaching practice and professionalism.
- Document children's learning and connect it to the curriculum (e.g., portfolios, newsletters, display boards).
- Manage and develop school resources and materials for the music programme.
- Serve as a floating teacher outside of music classes, assisting other class teachers with daily routines, lessons, and student support.
Qualifications
- Minimum of ABRSM/Trinity Grade 5 (or equivalent) in Music.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Added Advantages: Ability to play at least one musical instrument, and/or basic qualifications in Early Childhood Education/Preschool Teaching.
