Project Description
One of our client (a leading bank of Singapore) is undertaking a strategic upgrade of its Murex MX.3 platform to enhance system resilience, support new product capabilities, and align with evolving regulatory and operational requirements.
This initiative includes:
- Upgrading from version 3.1.42.48b to 3.1.6x.x
- Onboarding the EQA and OSP Excess modules
- Implementing comprehensive reconciliation, testing automation, and governance frameworks
Responsibilities
- Define the testing strategy and framework to ensure a high standard of testing and quality assurance
- Plan and manage various phases of testing (SIT, UAT, and Regression)
- Manage test case preparation, test data preparation, and test cycles
- Create test case templates, test execution status report templates, and defect report templates (consolidated reports from CRM and JIRA extracts)
- Work with business and technical SMEs for each stream (Front Office, Back Office, ERM, Interfaces, etc.) for detailed test case development as per design documents
- Monitor test execution progress and issues (Daily / Weekly) during the test execution phase
- Track defect fixes, delivery, and deployment, and drive quality closure of defects
- Coordinate with the Bank's Project Manager, Murex Project Manager, IT team, and entire project team for successful completion and sign-off of SIT and UAT
Mandatory Skills Description
- 10+ years of experience in Testing
- 3+ years of relevant Test Management experience for Murex
- Knowledge of financial market products and their lifecycle
- Experience with Murex setup and functional testing across various Murex modules (desirable)
- Ability to work independently
- Experience working directly with Technical Leads, Project Managers, and Business Analysts in business and IT organizations
- Experience executing tests throughout the entire development lifecycle
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
It would be important to have Murex Migration project experience, with exposure to v3.1.42.48b to v3.1.6x.x.
