Provide effective troubleshooting for issues spanning various Murex modules, including:
- Front Office (Simulation, Mkt Data, Curve Configurations, P&L , Sensitivities)
- Datamart (reporting, configuration)
- MLC (Murex Limits Controller)
- Market Risk (VaR, P&L Explain)
- MXML Workflows and STP
- Accounting (Journal of Entries, Liquidation)
- Static Data (Securities, Generators, Indices, Portfolios, Access Rights)
- Quickly diagnose and resolve issues raised by traders to minimize impact on trading activities.
- Act as the first point of contact for application support issues raised by Front Office (FO), Middle Office (MO), Operations, and Risk users.
Development & Enhancement
- Undertake light development tasks within the Murex environment to implement bug fixes, develop minor enhancements, and support configuration changes.
- Assist in the testing, deployment, and documentation of new Murex features and updates.
Cross-Application Support
- Provide support and maintenance for other in-house financial applications integrated with or ancillary to the Murex platform.
- Maintain a healthy and professional relationship with all end-users (Traders, Quants, Operations staff) and internal client teams.
Experience and Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Murex application support within a financial institution.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues across multiple Murex modules (e.g., FO, Datamart, Accounting, Market Risk, MLC, MXML,).
- Experience with SQL (Oracle/Sybase) for data analysis and troubleshooting within the Murex database.
- Demonstrated ability to perform minor development/bug-fixing tasks within a Murex environment.
Product Knowledge
- Strong functional knowledge of a broad range of financial products, including: Fixed Income (Bonds, IRS, Swaps), FX (Spot, Forwards, Options), Derivatives (Interest Rate, Credit, Equity), Credit Products
