Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Murex Production Support Consultant to provide L2/L3 support for critical trading and risk management platforms within a high-availability financial services environment.

This role will focus on supporting Murex Front Office, Back Office, and Risk modules, ensuring platform stability, issue resolution, system optimization, and operational continuity. The ideal candidate should possess strong troubleshooting capabilities, production support experience, and hands-on expertise across Murex environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L2/L3 production support for Murex platforms across Front Office, Back Office, and Risk modules.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to trades, pricing, interfaces, workflows, reports, and batch processes.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes to improve system stability and operational efficiency.
  • Support technical reduction and optimization initiatives including decommissioning redundant interfaces, reports, and legacy flows.
  • Monitor and support MxML integrations, feeders, workflows, and batch processing activities.
  • Support system releases, patches, deployment activities, and environment cleanup exercises.
  • Work closely with business users, operations teams, support teams, and technology stakeholders to resolve production issues effectively.
  • Monitor critical production environments and ensure timely issue escalation and resolution.
  • Support incident management, problem management, and service improvement activities.
  • Prepare operational documentation, troubleshooting guides, and support reports.
  • Participate in system maintenance, performance tuning, and stability improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Murex production support environments.
  • Good exposure to Murex modules including:LiveBookDatamartLimitseTradepadMxML
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience supporting business-critical and time-sensitive production environments.
  • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle and financial systems operations.
  • Hands-on experience with:SQLUnix/LinuxShell Scripting
  • Experience monitoring interfaces, workflows, batch jobs, and system integrations.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective solutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in high-pressure support environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience within banking or capital markets environments.
  • Exposure to release management and environment support activities.
  • Familiarity with incident management and ITIL support processes.
  • Experience supporting large-scale trading and risk platforms.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience providing L2/L3 support for Murex platforms.
  • Experience supporting production-critical trading systems and financial applications.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting Murex interfaces, reports, pricing, and batch processing issues.
  • Experience working in enterprise support and operational environments.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline.
