Job Summary
The Murex Developer will design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-performance reports for a stock trading system within the Murex platform. You will collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to deliver accurate Datamart reporting solutions that meet business and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business teams to gather, validate, and translate reporting requirements into technical specifications for Datamart solutions
- Design and develop approximately 100 reports using approved tools and frameworks, ensuring alignment with business needs and BANK'S standards
- Prepare and execute test cases to validate report accuracy and functionality during User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects promptly during UAT and production deployment phases
- Deploy reports to production environments following BANK'S change management processes, maintaining rollback plans and comprehensive deployment documentation
- Work closely with BANK'S teams to secure necessary system and environment access for development and deployment
- Provide regular progress updates and utilization reports to stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment
- Utilize strong technical skills in SQL, Java/Python, and Datamart configuration to optimize reporting architecture and integration
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 4-7 years of experience in Murex development with a focus on Murex Datamart configuration and reporting architecture
- Proficiency in DataMart, PySpark, SQL, data transformation, and ETL concepts
- Proficiency in Java and/or Python for integration and automation tasks
- Hands-on experience with reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalents
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during UAT and production deployment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in risk, finance, or regulatory reporting domains
- Knowledge of Murex workflows and trade lifecycle
- Exposure to batch scheduling and job automation tools
- Understanding of data reconciliation and financial data controls
- Experience working in large-scale banking or capital markets environments
