Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Production Engineer based in Singapore to operate and evolve our Output Management/Printing (OMS) stack in a regulated banking environment.

You will ensure the availability, security, and performance of our Enterprise Output Management/Printing platforms, while collaborating with teams globally.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Operations & Evolution:

  • Operate and maintain the OMS stack, ensuring availability, security, and performance.
  • Modernise and containerise supporting services where relevant (e.g., build/operate Docker images/containers and related CI/CD pipelines).
  • Define standards for image hardening, security, and configuration management.

Resilience & Continuous Improvement:

  • Validate backups/restores and participate in DR/BCP simulations.
  • Maintain runbooks and SOPs proactively identify risks and bottlenecks.
  • Propose and implement improvements for reliability, performance, security, and cost.

Collaboration & Support:

  • Act as the single point of contact for OMS-related topics in Singapore.
  • Collaborate with global teams in a multicultural context.

Technical Requirements:

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Output Management/Printing or Production Engineering in regulated environments (banking/financial services preferred).
  • Proven track record with platform upgrades/migrations and formal change/release processes.

OMS/Printing Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Report Distribution Systems, Print spoolers, or Document Composition Systems.
  • Knowledge of Rocket EOS, Macro 4 Columbus OM, or Quadient Inspire Suite is a plus.
  • Understanding of output processes (composition, spooling, queuing, distribution), print stream formats (PDF, PCL/PostScript), and digital delivery.
  • Knowledge of VIPP format or similar mass printing formats is a plus.
  • Integration with upstream applications and downstream archiving/ECM.

ECM/GED Background (Nice to Have):

  • Exposure to Enterprise Content Management (e.g., IBM DB2 Content Manager, Kofax, FileNet, OpenText, Alfresco, OnBase).
  • Understanding of capture/OCR, indexing/metadata, archival/retention, and secure content lifecycle.

Platforms & Tooling:

  • Operating Systems: Strong Linux/UNIX and Windows Server skills.
  • Scripting: Bash and Perl (required) Python/PowerShell (a plus).
  • Monitoring: Splunk or equivalent (dashboards, analytics, alerting).
  • Databases & Middleware: SQL (DB2/Oracle/Postgres), certificates/TLS, APIs/ESB basics, and Java-based application servers.
  • Service Management: ITIL (Incident/Problem/Change management), ticketing, and documentation tools.
  • Familiarity with release automation tools (e.g., XL Deploy, XL Release, Ansible) is a plus.
