Responsibilities
- Proficiency with various forming and stamping equipment (vertical/horizontal electric or hydraulic forming machines are a plus).
- Experience in the design, use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of jigs and fixtures for mechanical components.
- Ability to interpret and evaluate mechanical part drawings for dimensions, tolerances, and cosmetic requirements.
- Knowledge of mechanical component design, structural specifications, and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with CNC/IM (injection molding) process flows, including machine operation, programming, and troubleshooting of mechanical and material issues.
- Prior experience with first-article inspections and mold qualification for mechanical components would be preferred
Requirements
- A degree in mechanical design, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of plastic injection molding machines, including both single-shot and multi-shot molding.
- Foundational knowledge of plastic materials is required. Experience with plastic injection molding is preferred, and experience with vertical insert molding is a plus.
- Proficient in dimensional analysis of molded parts and troubleshooting issues related to part appearance, raw materials, and molds.
- Skilled in using hot runner systems, oil temperature controllers, robotic arms, and vertical insert molding machines.
- Proficient in 2D/3D CAD and Microsoft Office software.
- Must be proactive and possess strong communication and coordination abilities to work effectively with upstream and downstream teams
