Mold Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Analyze product designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency (DFM).
• Develop 3D/2D tool designs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for plastic injection molding.
• Create mold design layouts, lead design reviews, and ensure accuracy.
• Design precision molds meeting product specs and production standards.
• Manage mold projects, coordinate with teams and customers.
• Prepare bills of materials, maintain documentation for traceability.
• Participate in First-Off Tool reviews and evaluate tool readiness.
• Analyze tooling issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Develop complex mold designs for production release.
• Apply knowledge of plastics and elastomers for informed design decisions.
• Utilize 3D modeling and GD&T expertise for design precision.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, collaborate as a team player.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and GD&T.
• Knowledge of plastic injection molding and automotive industry standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and teamwork mindset.
• 5 days work week.
