Mobile Engineer (iOS) - Singapore

Responsibilities

• Develop cross-platform mobile applications primarily using React Native, while also building and optimizing native modules for iOS, with a focus on performance improvements such as memory usage, app startup time, and runtime smoothness.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize mobile app features to ensure the stability, compatibility, and user experience of the iOS application.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common mobile development issues, including build and packaging, on-device debugging, compatibility issues, and production incident investigation.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend, and Web teams throughout the development lifecycle, including feature implementation, integration testing, and release delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Solid computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, design patterns, computer networks, and operating systems.
• Strong coding skills and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to independently analyze and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Experience in technical architecture design, having participated in or led the selection and implementation of the technical architecture for at least one complete application. Experience with modular architecture and component-based development is preferred.
• Proficient in Swift/Objective-C (iOS), with a deep understanding of mobile application architecture and underlying platform technologies.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical solutions and drive issue resolution across Product, Design, Backend, and other teams.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to identify potential risks early, take ownership of problems, and drive them through to resolution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with React Native development.
• Experience in cross-platform mobile development.
• Experience with Expo, CI/CD, or automated build and release pipelines.
• Experience developing complex consumer applications, fintech applications, or trading-related mobile applications.
