Job Description

Objectives

  • Oversee daily store operations to ensure smooth and efficient functionality
  • Achieve financial objectives by meeting monthly sales targets and profitability goals
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment that fosters teamwork, motivation, and employee development
  • Maintain brand standards and ensure the store reflects the company's image and values
  • Optimize store performance through effective resource management and strategic planning
  • Build strong customer relationships and expand the existing customer base
  • Ensure store compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and vendor coordination mon to sun 1130am to 1130pm daily.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and onboard new staff members
  • Create work schedules that balance coverage needs with labor costs
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to employees
  • Motivate the sales team to meet sales objectives through training and mentoring
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance and implement strategies to drive sales growth
  • Manage inventory levels, order new items, and ensure merchandise availability on the floor
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and investigate discrepancies to control stock loss and shrinkage
  • Develop and arrange promotional materials and in-store displays
  • Maintain outstanding visual merchandising standards according to brand guidelines
  • Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Prepare detailed reports on buying trends, customer requirements, sales data, and profit margins
  • Prepare and manage store budgets, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions
  • Manage all controllable costs to keep operations profitable
  • Ensure the store is kept clean, safe, and presentable at all times
  • Handle employee conflicts and disciplinary actions when needed
  • Communicate feedback about the business to upper management including customer requests and market opportunities

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of retail management experience
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service-oriented with proven ability to resolve customer issues professionally
  • Knowledge of basic business management processes and retail operations
  • Financial management skills including budgeting, accounting, and expense monitoring
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail software
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Problem-solving abilities and capacity to make quick decisions under pressure
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 5+ years of retail management experience
  • Experience managing multiple departments or high-volume retail locations
  • Knowledge of inventory management software and systems
  • Understanding of marketing principles and sales promotion strategies
  • Experience with sales data analysis and retail metrics interpretation
  • Knowledge of visual merchandising best practices
  • Experience with talent development and succession planning
  • Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and security measures
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with business development experience
  • Experience in the specific retail industry or product category
