Middleware Engineer

Salary: Up to SGD 9000

Role: Patch Tooling Data Automation Specialist 

Key Domain/ Technical Skills:

* Open Systems and middleware patch tooling knowledge

* CMDB, vulnerability, patch, CRQ and VRA data integration

* Workflow automation, APIs, controls, dashboards and production stabilisation

Responsibilities:

* Own tooling (incl UDMAs), data integration and workflow automation needed to support accelerated patching. This role converts approved operating requirements into reliable data, integrations, controls and workflow. The role does not run patch cycles, coordinate implementation bridges or own operational approval and escalation decisions.

* Define and implement the data model linking CVE, product/version, hostname/CI, App Code, tier, patch version, CRQ, VRA and deployment outcome

* Map and reconcile data from VulDB, CMDB/EAR, BigFix/TEM or native patch tools, approved scanners, Helix/JIRA and VRA records

Define mandatory data fields, matching keys, status definitions, duplicate handling, data-quality checks and lineage

* Gather and document UOB requirements for patch tooling, workflow, evidence, exception handling, reconciliation and reporting

* Maintain a prioritised backlog for BigFix/TEM, CMDB/EAR, Helix/JIRA, VMP (later), reporting and related integration improvements

* Design and configure workflow for case creation, routing, ownership, deadlines, approvals, reminders, escalation, evidence collection and closure

* Implement controls that prevent case closure when mandatory approval, VRA, validation or evidence is missing

* Build or support repeatable reconciliation outputs, dashboards and alerts for patch scope, remediation, exceptions, overdue actions and evidence completeness

* Coordinate technical build, UAT, defect resolution, production deployment, stabilisation and knowledge transfer with HCL and platform teams

* Ensure automation retains human approval for material risk, production, deferment and exception decisions

* Do not own daily patch-cycle coordination, implementation bridges, CRQ approval or App/Infra risk acceptance

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline

* Minimum 6–9 years in infrastructure tooling, data integration, workflow automation, ITSM platform delivery or technology operations analysis

* Working knowledge of Open Systems administration and patching across Windows, Linux/Unix and common infrastructure platforms

* Working knowledge of middleware administration and patching, such as WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Apache HTTPD/Tomcat or equivalent platforms

* Hands-on experience with BigFix/TEM or equivalent patch tools, CMDB/EAR, Helix/JIRA and vulnerability-management data

* Experience with APIs, SQL, Power Query/Python, Power Automate or comparable integration and automation methods

* Ability to translate patch operations and control needs into system requirements, data rules and acceptance criteria

* Experience with UAT, production implementation, troubleshooting, support documentation and BAU handover

* Experience in banking or another regulated technology environment is preferred
