Job Overview

We are looking for a Middleware Engineer (Batch Operations) to support BAU operations and IT projects for a Singapore-based client. The role will focus on enterprise batch scheduling, job deployment, configuration, execution, monitoring and recovery, while working closely with application and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide batch operation support for BAU and project activities using platforms such as ActiveBatch, GoAnywhere, Tectia or equivalent.
• Perform:
• Batch job deployment
• Batch job configuration and updates
• Batch job execution
• Batch job failure recovery and troubleshooting
• Work with application and infrastructure teams to understand batch requirements and contribute to solution discussions.
• Identify opportunities to optimize and automate batch operations and improve operational efficiency.
• Support application deployments across environments.
• Follow established IT processes, procedures and escalation matrices.
• Participate in the 24×7 duty roster / on-call support.
• Support after-hours activities including:
• Production incident resolution
• Production application deployments
• Platform patching
• Project cutovers
• Critical service requests

Mandatory Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in batch operations / batch production support or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with ActiveBatch or similar enterprise batch scheduler, such as:
• Control-M
• AutoSys
• UC4 / Automic
• Tidal
• IBM Workload Scheduler
• Experience with batch job deployment, configuration, execution and recovery.
• Production/BAU support experience.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with GoAnywhere, Tectia, SFTP or similar MFT/file-transfer platforms.
• Willingness to support 24×7/on-call operations.

Ideal Candidate

3–7 years of experience in enterprise batch operations with hands-on Control-M / ActiveBatch / AutoSys / UC4 / Automic, production batch support, job deployment/configuration/recovery, Unix/Linux + Windows, and SFTP/MFT experience.
