Summary
We are seeking an experienced Middleware Architect to lead, design, and oversee the daily administration of enterprise middleware technologies. This role will provide architectural leadership, hands-on technical guidance, and Level 3 (L3) support across critical middleware platforms, ensuring stability, scalability, performance, and security of integration systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of middleware solutions across the enterprise.
- Oversee daily administration, monitoring, and maintenance of middleware platforms.
- Provide L3 middleware support, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, and preventive measures.
- Act as the technical authority for middleware technologies and integration patterns.
- Design high-availability, fault-tolerant, and scalable middleware architectures.
- Support application teams with middleware onboarding, configuration, and best practices.
- Drive performance tuning, capacity planning, and system optimization.
- Establish and maintain middleware standards, governance, and documentation.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and DevOps teams.
- Lead upgrades, patches, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Mentor L2/L1 support teams and guide operational excellence.
Requirement
- Strong hands-on experience as a Middleware Architect or Senior Middleware Engineer.
- Experience and knowledgeable in Middleware Technologies such as, IBM (WTX), IBM MQ / MQFTE, Apache Kafka, Apache Tomcat or Oracle WebLogic
- Solid experience with Kafka-based messaging and streaming architectures.
- Proven administration and tuning of Apache Tomcat and Oracle WebLogic.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with experience handling L3 production issues.
- Knowledge of integration patterns, messaging, event-driven architecture, and APIs.
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments and scripting.
- Understanding of security, SSL/TLS, authentication, and authorization in middleware platforms.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
