The Role

We are seeking a passionate and brilliant individual to join us and take ownership of a high-impact project in Enzyme Engineering. You will work directly with our senior Microfluidic Scientist on developing and implementing our next-generation screening workflow. The success of this project will have an immediate impact on our core R&D direction.

Stage 1: Training & Immersion You will be introduced and trained in our end-to-end Microfluidic Screening workflow, including:

  • Droplets generation and manipulation.
  • Pico-injection of reagents into droplets.
  • Sorting of hit droplets.
  • Various micro-fabrication techniques, such as soft-lithography and microfluidic channel design.

Stage 2: Design & Development You will be involved in challenging design and testing tasks for our next generation of microfluidic devices, including:

  • The design and testing of a new microfluidic screening device.
  • The development of DropLot: a novel droplet collection and transfer module.
  • Design and testing of a next-generation cell incubator.

Who You Are

  • A highly motivated student or undergraduate in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Microfluidics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Passionate about sustainability and the application of science to solve real-world challenges.
  • Curious, driven, and ready to take ownership of a project.
  • Experience or strong theoretical knowledge in microfluidics is a significant plus.
