Microbiologist

Brief Summary

We are seeking a skilled Microbiologist to ensure the microbiological quality and safety of products through thorough analysis and compliance management. This role is crucial in supporting quality improvement initiatives and ensuring adherence to established standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine microbial analyses on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products. Release microbial test results and conduct risk analyses to ensure accuracy and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage non-conformance and assist in food safety complaint investigations. Maintain compliance with ISO 17025, including documentation accuracy and record retention. Conduct statistical trend analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives related to food safety. Support method development, optimisation, and validation activities. Assist in internal audits, external assessments, and accreditation processes. Prepare Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) reports and follow up on necessary actions. Aid in other assigned tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology or a related field, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of microbiological principles, including method development and validation. Hands-on experience in microbiological testing and operation of laboratory equipment. Basic understanding of chemistry and chemical properties is advantageous. Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to quality and food safety is beneficial. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and SAP. Strong communication skills, capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team. Experience in preparing technical reports and quality-related documentation.
