Role Description The Metal Trader is a full-time, hybrid role based in Singapore, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. This role involves sourcing and trading metal products, managing supplier and customer relationships, and negotiating pricing and contract terms in line with company strategy. The Metal Trader will monitor market trends, analyze pricing and demand data, and prepare regular reports to support trading decisions and risk management. Daily responsibilities include coordinating logistics and documentation with internal teams, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and maintaining accurate records of trades and inventory. The role also requires close collaboration with finance and operations to optimize margins, manage exposure, and support growth in targeted markets.

Qualifications

Experience in commodities or metals trading, including pricing, negotiation, and contract management.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret market data and prepare reports.
Knowledge of international trade practices, logistics, and basic risk management principles.
Effective communication and relationship-building skills with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in standard office software; exposure to trading or ERP systems is an advantage.
Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Fluency in English; additional Asian or European languages would be beneficial.
Prior experience in metals, construction materials, or industrial sectors is preferred but not mandatory.
