Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee and actively participate in daily recycling yard operations across multiple locations in Singapore, including loading/unloading, segregation, weighing, and storage of metal scrap.
- Monitor site safety, housekeeping, and operational efficiency in strict compliance with workplace safety standards.
- Handson / Monitor the construction site dismantling of the trunking and cables
- Work hands-on with the trading and logistics teams to coordinate the smooth movement of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Track inventory levels and record material movement accurately using internal systems.
- Supervise, train, and guide a team of general workers, ensuring productivity, discipline, and hands-on support where needed.
- Liaise with transporters, contractors, and external agencies to ensure seamless operations.
- Conduct practical, routine checks on equipment and infrastructure, escalating maintenance requirements as necessary.
- Maintain daily updates of available stock and ensure clear communication with the office team.
- Prepare and submit daily stock reports to management for accurate inventory tracking and business planning.
Key Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or diploma in any field.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in a recycling plant, scrapyard, construction site (dismantling trunking and cables) or industrial operations environment.
- Practical knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metal grades.
- Skilled in operating recycling machinery (e.g., shredders, shears) and scrap processing equipment.
- Experience with basic logistics coordination and stock-handling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or stock-tracking systems is advantageous.
- Strong leadership qualities with a practical problem-solving approach.
- Physically fit, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced industrial setting.
