MEP Supervisor - FF (Fire Fighting)

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee the installation and testing of active fire protection and fire-fighting systems.
• Supervise installation of automatic sprinkler systems (wet/dry/pre-action), fire hydrants, hose reels, fire pumps, water storage tanks, Deluge systems, and clean agent gaseous suppression systems (e.g., FM-200, Novec 1230, IG-541).
• Coordinate fire protection works with architectural, structural, cleanroom, and other MEP services.
• Review fire protection layout drawings, hydraulic calculations, schematics, specifications, and method statements.
• Monitor pipe grooving, threading, welding, hanger/bracing installations, and sprinkler head placements.
• Coordinate hydrostatic pressure testing, pipe flushing, fire pump flow/pressure performance tests, and system pre-commissioning.
• Coordinate witness inspections with Registered Inspectors (RI), QP, consultants, and prepare for SCDF statutory approvals.
• Coordinate fire interlock and interface testing with Fire Alarm, HVAC smoke extract systems, and electrical tripping controls.
• Monitor defects, punch-list items, and outstanding works through to completion.

Requirements

• Diploma or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Safety, Building Services, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant fire fighting, fire protection, MEP, or EPC construction experience.
• Certified in MOM-accredited safety courses (e.g., BCSS / SSSC) possession of CSCPM or relevant fire protection professional credentials will be an added advantage.
• Fluency in both English and Mandarin is an advantage to liaise smoothly with SCDF inspectors, consultants, and on-site piping workers.
• Proven ability to oversee fire protection piping, pump sets, and clean agent system installations on site.
• Experience coordinating witness inspections with Registered Inspectors (RI) and familiarity with Singapore Fire Code / SCDF regulatory standards.
• Able to read and interpret fire protection shop drawings, hydraulic schematics, and P&IDs.
• Experience in semiconductor, industrial plant, or large-scale EPC projects is preferred.
