Job Responsibilities

Supervise and oversee the installation of process exhaust ductwork and air abatement systems, including wet scrubbers, acid/ammonia scrubbers, VOC abatement systems (e.g., RTOs), and general exhaust fans.
Supervise installation of corrosion-resistant ductwork (e.g., ETFE-coated stainless steel, FRP, PP/PVC, stainless steel), dampers, expansion joints, and exhaust stacks.
Coordinate exhaust systems and scrubber connections with process tools, HVAC systems, and cleanroom interfaces.
Review exhaust layout drawings, P&IDs, duct schematics, specifications, and method statements.
Monitor duct support installations, seismic/vibration isolators, duct slope to drains, and washdown spray connections.
Coordinate duct smoke/light testing, air leakage testing, scrubber hydraulic testing, and air balancing across all exhaust branches.
Monitor subcontractor performance, manpower, workmanship, and construction progress.
Identify and resolve site coordination, clash, and equipment hook-up issues.
Monitor punch-list items and ensure timely completion prior to system pre-commissioning.

Requirements

Diploma or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant industrial exhaust, scrubber abatement, HVAC, MEP, or EPC construction experience.
Certified in MOM-accredited safety courses (e.g., BCSS / SSSC) possession of CSCPM, Work-at-Height (WAH) Supervisor, or relevant safety certifications will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred to bridge technical requirements between engineering teams and site ducting fabricators.
Proven ability to oversee exhaust ductwork fabrication and scrubber equipment installation on site.
Experience with specialized process exhaust materials (e.g., ETFE-coated stainless steel, FRP/PP ducting) is preferred.
Able to read and interpret mechanical layout drawings, duct schematics, and P&IDs.
Experience in semiconductor fab, industrial chemistry, or high-tech manufacturing projects will be an advantage.
