Experience
MEP Quality Control Engineer to support on-site quality management for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works in Singapore construction projects. The role focuses on ensuring the quality of MEP installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, project quality plans and inspection and tesing plans and procedures, and Singapore regulatory requirements. Experience in high-tech facilities or industrial projects is highly preferred.
Years of Experience
Minimum 3 years of on-site experience in construction quality management.
Licenses
Candidates shall possess qualifications and licenses in compliance with applicable local regulations and authority requirements.
Others
1. Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related disciplines.
2. Language Requirements: Proficient in both English and Chinese ability to communicate in Taiwanese or an additional language is an advantage.
3.Familiar with Singapore construction quality regulations and requirements, including relevant codes and industry practices for MEP works and coordination with local testing laboratories regarding NDE and test reports.
4. Knowledge of testing, inspection, and commissioning processes for MEP systems.
5. ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification or equivalent quality management training is an advantage.
6. Possession of MEP-related quality certifications or formal QA/QC training is preferred.
7. Good command of English, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and site teams in a project environment.
8. Able to work independently on site and coordinate effectively with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
1.Coordinate and manage inspection and testing activities for MEP works, including installation inspections, testing, and commissioning-related quality records.
2.Manage MEP subcontractor quality activities and schedule joint witness/hold point inspection with Client Quality Inspectors as per approved ITPs.
3. Review, verify, and endorse MEP quality documentation, such as ITPs, method statements, inspection checklists, test reports, and as-built records submissions by MEP subcontractors.
4. Conduct internal quality inspections and audits of Subcontractor's construction works in accordance with the Project Quality Plan and construction schedule.
5.Issue Nonconformance Reports (NCR) to nonconforming products and construction works and activities. Manage the closure and follow-ups of Non-conformances issued to construction supervisors or subcontractors and record these NCRs to the MEP NCR Register.
6. Support and participate in Client / Owner / Consultant quality audits and site inspections, including tracking non-conformances and verifying corrective actions issued by Client / Owner / Consultant.
7. Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure MEP works meet quality and specification requirements.
8. Perform other quality-related duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Project Quality Manager.
