About the Role
Zyeta is seeking an accomplished Registered Professional Engineer with proven expertise in commercial building systems to join as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). This role will be embedded at the clients office and will provide oversight, consultation, and technical reviews for building design, construction, and facility operations across the APAC and EMEA portfolio.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring technical excellence, code compliance, maintainability, and operational readiness of commercial facilities, while supporting the development of enterprise-wide technical standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Design Consultation: Provide expert input on building design using benchmarking tools to evaluate trade-offs in cost, infrastructure reliability, safety, lifecycle cost, and maintainability.
- Design & Document Review: Review design and construction documents for compliance with codes, standards, safety, and long-term maintainability.
- Standards Development: Support the creation of new technical standards and guidelines to align facility operations with the latest industry practices.
- Management of Change (MOC): Review and advise on proposed changes, ensuring alignment with technical and operational requirements.
- Technical Oversight: Conduct reviews across multiple engineering disciplines (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural, civil, control systems, etc.), leveraging internal and external SME networks when necessary.
- Developer Package Review: Assess design/build packages from external developers for both technical and commercial soundness, advising CRE and other business units on associated risks and benefits.
- Global Collaboration: Participate in global calls and travel as needed to support projects and ensure effective collaboration across regions and time zones.
Qualification
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
- Minimum 10 years of project design and management experience in commercial building HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems, with fluency in related disciplines.
- Demonstrated expertise in cross-disciplinary engineering and practical application experience.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and best practices in commercial facility design and operations.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across global teams.
- Flexibility to travel internationally and work across multiple time zones.
