We deliver world-class repair services to commercial vessels, tankers, and offshore fleets. We are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Medium-Speed Engine Supervisor to oversee workshop and field service projects dedicated to medium-speed propulsion and power generation units.

Position Overview

As the Medium-Speed Engine Supervisor, you will lead a team of specialized technicians in the disassembly, inspection, machining, component overhaul, and reassembly of medium-speed marine diesel and dual-fuel engines. You will balance hands-on technical execution with team leadership, ensuring that all workshop and field repair activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with OEM tolerances and class society rules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Supervision: Oversee and execute major overhauls, troubleshooting, and component repairs (cylinders, liners, pistons, fuel injection systems, and crankshaft alignment) on medium-speed engines.
  • Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and allocate daily tasks to a team of marine technicians and machinists, ensuring optimal workforce utilization.
  • Quality Control: Measure, record, and verify engine clearances against OEM specifications, maintaining detailed service reports and calibration logs.
  • Field Service Coordination: Lead riding squads and onboard repair teams during port calls or dry-dockings, managing tight turnaround schedules.
  • Safety Enforcement: Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring full compliance with workshop HSE protocols, lifting plan standards, and marine safety regulations.
  • Tool & Parts Management: Verify that specialized tools (e.g., hydraulic jacks, honing machines, torque multipliers) are maintained and calibrated, and identify parts required for requisition.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience specializing in medium-speed marine engines, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of major medium-speed engine makes and models (e.g., Wärtsilä, MAN 32/40, Caterpillar/MaK, Rolls-Royce/Bergen, Yanmar, Daihatsu).
  • Education: Technical diploma in Marine/Mechanical Engineering, trade trade-apprenticeship certification, or equivalent marine engineering competency certificate.
  • Precision Skills: Expert proficiency in reading technical drawings, understanding tolerance tables, and using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, dial indicators).
  • Adaptability: Willingness to travel for field service assignments and work flexible hours to meet vessel departure deadlines.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary package with overtime pay and field service allowances.
  • Comprehensive health and insurance benefits.
  • Continuous training and certifications on next-generation engine models.
  • Clear pathways for career advancement into workshop management.
  • Annual leave
