To isolate and culture Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MCSs) from Human Umbilical Cord Tissue and Human Bone Marrow.
To maintain MSCs cultures (changing medium, sub culturing, passaging and cryopreservation).
To perform daily cleaning and maintenance of clean room laboratory and equipment(s).
To perform monthly sterilization of all CO2 Incubators.
To perform stem cell markers testing using flow cytometry. (Viability, CD73, CD90, CD105).
To contact 3rd party laboratory personnel and make necessary arrangements to send samples for testing (culture plates, sterility culture bottles, mycoplasma & endotoxin).
To record all processing data and culturing data onto worksheets accurately and file into clients folder.
To relocate cryopreserved MSC cells from quarantined cryogenic tank to permanent cryogenic storage tank. Ensure continuous supply of liquid nitrogen to all cryogenic tanks.
To report contamination case or no cell growth case to Assistant Laboratory Manager, Laboratory Manager and Non-conformance team.
To check stock regularly and inform any low buffer to Laboratory Admin or warehouse personnel immediately.
To monitor lot number and expiry date for all reagents, materials and consumables and inform Laboratory Admin or warehouse personnel to dispose of any expiring/expired according to SOP.
Always update lot number and expiry date of all reagents, materials, and consumables onto processing and culturing worksheets from time to time.
To prepare and aliquot reagents or solution for processing and cell culture works.
To perform potency testing when required. (Adipogenic, Chondrogenic, Osteogenic Differentiation).
To report and record any deviation/incident/technical issues and perform Corrective Action and Prevention Action (CAPA).
To generate Laboratory Report for clients upon successful culturing and cryopreservation of MSCs in compliance with Laboratory protocol and guidelines.
Requirements
Familiar with the standards of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Familiar with various test standards or processes, eg. RCPA-FBC, CAP, etc.
A team player working with teammates under the supervision of Assistant Laboratory Manager/ Laboratory Manager.
Able to co-operate with colleagues, plan and execute daily tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Willingness to take up other duties required.
Must be willing to work during rostered weekends and public holidays.
