Position Purpose
As a Medical Representative, you will be responsible for continuously exploring new business opportunities and identifying market potential to drive market share growth. In this role, you are expected to provide professional, solution-based services to customers, positioning yourself as a trusted partner. You will be accountable for achieving assigned sales targets within your designated territory and channels, contributing to the company's overall business objectives. Additionally, you will be required to build and maintain a strong network of professional relationships with key stakeholders and business partners.
Responsibilities
Sales Management
- Explore new business opportunities and assess market potential to increase market share.
- Provide professional, solution-oriented services to customers.
- Develop and execute sales call plans under the guidance of the Sales Manager.
- Continuously update knowledge on the company's products, competitor products, and relevant medical information to enhance product detailing and maintain a professional image.
- Lead representative meetings to organize and deliver effective sales presentations and product detailing to both existing and potential customers.
- Manage and achieve sales targets within assigned territories and channels to support the company's business objectives.
- Maintain accurate customer data in customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets to maximize profitability.
Channel Management and Market Segmentation
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop and implement sales plans that optimize resources for maximum efficiency in coverage, segmentation, and targeting of territories and channels.
- Identify, build and maintain professional relationship with customer to increase product endorsement and product usage.
Market Intelligence
- Collect and provide regular feedback on market insights and competitor intelligence to the Sales Manager to support strategic discussions and recommend counteractions.
- Identify market trends and opportunities and assist in executing marketing activities and product launches.
- Manage and report customer complaints, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to optimize business transactions and enhance customer satisfaction.
Supporting Role in Other Functions
- Actively participate in Post-Marketing Surveillance and Adverse Event Reporting by collecting data promptly and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and installation of products and systems.
- Support internal stakeholders in building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers.
Others
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, support internal events and functions, and contribute to special projects aligned with the assigned portfolio.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or related disciplines
- Prior experience in sales management and customer service is an advantage (especially for entry-level sales roles)
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Proven track record as a collaborative team player within cross-functional teams
- Ability to understand the dynamics of the pharmaceutical industry and the local healthcare system
- Proficient in digital tools and technology; tech-savvy
