As a Medical Sales Representative, he/she is responsible for detailing and selling Viatris portfolio of products to healthcare professionals within his/her designated territory. Collaboration with the different stakeholders of the account team (Sales, Marketing and Medical) to support account strategies and deliver results.

Role Overview

This position reports to the Sales Manager, Singapore. As a Medical Sales Representative, the incumbent is responsible for detailing and selling the Viatris portfolio of products to healthcare professionals within his/her designated territory, while managing key institutional accounts to drive penetration and growth. This is a hybrid role that combines territory-level medical detailing with strategic account management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

Sales & Business Delivery

  • Deliver and exceed sales targets set for assigned Viatris business
  • Promote and detail the full product portfolio to healthcare professionals
  • Execute sales and marketing initiatives across territory accounts
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities proactively

Account Management & Growth

  • Manage both key institutional accounts and territory accounts with clear objectives and account plans
  • Establish and maintain strong rapport with decision makers at all levels
  • Service and maintain existing business including contracts, quotations, tenders and relationship management
  • Support successful listing of new products into hospitals and clinics
  • Track account sales and provide accurate forecasts including sales, penetration rates and market share

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and sustain relationships with healthcare professionals and key decision makers
  • Collaborate across Sales, Marketing and Medical teams to support account strategies and deliver results
  • Support negotiation strategies with compelling value propositions that deliver mutually beneficial outcomes

Insights & Strategy

  • Gather market intelligence and customer insights through field relationships and apply knowledge across sales territories
  • Develop sound understanding of customer needs, challenges, competitive landscape and key trends
  • Propose value-driven solutions based on account insights, working with internal stakeholders where relevant

Selling Excellence

  • Apply selling and negotiation skills consistently, effectively and independently
  • Proactively share feedback and best practices during selling skills workshops and role play sessions
  • Demonstrate willingness to take on new pilots in areas of marketing, digital, analytics and new ways of working

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Maintain compliance with ethical standards, business code of conduct, local laws and internal SOPs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Pharmacy, Business Administration, Biomedical Sciences or related field
  • 2 to 3 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry
  • Previous exposure to Primary Care or Specialty Care is an advantage
  • Proven track record in driving and exceeding sales targets
  • Self-starter with a high level of personal motivation and results orientation
  • Strong team player with the ability to work effectively cross-functionally
  • Strong interpersonal, planning, presentation and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Possess a valid Class 3 driving license and preferably possesses a car
