Key Responsibilities:
Patient Accompaniment:
- Accompany patients to medical appointments, procedures, or during transfers, ensuring constant and close supervision.
Medical Assistance:
- Provide basic medical care and assistance during transportation, responding to patients needs promptly.
Patient Monitoring:
- Continuously monitor the patient's condition and be prepared to respond to any medical needs that may arise during transit.
Patient Comfort & Safety:
- Ensure the comfort and safety of patients throughout their journey, making necessary adjustments to care as needed.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients families, relaying important information about the patient's condition.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, medical procedures, and any incidents that occur during transportation.
Equipment Management:
- Handle medical equipment and supplies responsibly, ensuring they are in proper working order and used correctly.
Empathy & Understanding:
- Show empathy and understanding towards patients, addressing their concerns with compassion and patience.
Requirements:
- Must be minimally CPR and AED certified.
- Prior experience in caregiving or a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
