Role Overview
Our client, a well-established integrated communications and media organisation, is seeking a
Media Finance Specialist
to support the operational and financial management of a multinational client account.
This role involves close coordination with regional and global teams across multiple markets, ensuring financial accuracy, budget alignment, and smooth operational delivery across media campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Reporting
- Act as a liaison between media, finance, buying, and client teams to ensure timely and accurate financial deliverables
- Track and follow up on outstanding finance tasks, providing regular status updates
- Ensure accuracy in actualisation reports, media plans, and invoicing
- Identify, escalate, and resolve finance or billing-related issues
Budgeting & Cost Management
- Coordinate with planning and creative teams to update and consolidate budgets across multiple markets
- Support regular budget submissions and updates to stakeholders
- Assist in resolving budget discrepancies and adjustments
Operational Support
- Conduct detailed reviews of media plans and prepare weekly operational reports for regional or global stakeholders
- Ensure accuracy of estimates and respond to cost-related enquiries
- Create and manage campaign plan numbers and third-party funding plans
- Coordinate quarterly proof-of-delivery submissions
- Support onboarding and registration of new media vendors in internal systems
- Track annual rebates and ensure correct application across plans and budgets
- Support ad-hoc budget requests and monthly FX rate updates
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in media operations, finance, accounting, or a related function
- Strong attention to detail with a structured, process-driven approach
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
- Strong stakeholder management skills across teams, regions, and cultures
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
