WORKING EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE
- Experience in shipyard operations and/or sea-going vessels
- Familiar with marine ship systems and onboard operations
CORE COMPETENCIES
- Familiar with ship systems and onboard marine operations
- Able to read and interpret P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) and mechanical drawings
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, ship piping systems, and related equipment
- Able to read and interpret piping ISO drawings
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and shipboard systems
- Experience in ship repair and maintenance activities
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety & Quality
- Improve workplace safety and work quality
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure safety, discipline, and welfare of workers
Operations & Technical Work
- Read mechanical drawings and simple technical instructions
- Perform basic calculations (length, angles, scaling, unit conversion)
- Identify location of major shipboard equipment
- Startup marine systems and hand over to operations
Supervision & Coordination
- Assist foremen/engineers in supervising workforce
- Deploy and utilize manpower effectively
- Review and improve production processes for efficiency and productivity
- Coordinate inspections with surveyors and clients
- Build good working relationships with internal teams and external parties
Resources & Administration
- Ensure proper use and control of materials
- Any other duties as assigned
