Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor / Engineer | Petrochemical / Plant

Job Description:

• Plan, coordinate and supervise mechanical maintenance activities for plant, process or industrial equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair works.
• Maintain static and rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, valves, piping, vessels, heat exchangers and related mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, contractors and vendors to ensure maintenance works are completed safely and efficiently.
• Support plant shutdown, turnaround, equipment modification and improvement projects when required.
• Investigate equipment failures, identify root causes and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
• Monitor work progress, maintenance schedule, manpower arrangement and job completion.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, quality, environmental and company requirements.
• Prepare maintenance reports, work records, inspection checklist and technical documentation.
• Guide technicians or contractors to ensure maintenance works are carried out according to proper standards.

Job Requirement:

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in mechanical maintenance within petrochemical, chemical, oil & gas, terminal, power plant, manufacturing or process industry.
• Good knowledge of static and rotating equipment maintenance.
• Experience with pumps, compressors, valves, piping, vessels, heat exchangers or mechanical systems will be an advantage.
• Able to troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues and recommend practical solutions.
• Experience in supervising maintenance teams, contractors or vendors will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of permit-to-work, risk assessment, plant safety procedures or ISO standards will be an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Candidates with strong hands-on mechanical maintenance experience may be considered.
• Candidates with supervisory experience may be considered for senior roles.
