Assist engineers and project managers in mechanical works at construction sites.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdown requests as instructed by the supervisor.
Inspect, install, test, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment.
Carry out troubleshooting and fault analysis for mechanical and hydraulic systems.
Perform scheduled and periodic maintenance inspections of equipment.
Repair and recondition mechanical and hydraulic components as required.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out according to project requirements and safety standards.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site workers on mechanical installations.
Keep the immediate supervisor informed of work progress, results, and any issues or potential problems, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment.
Prepare technical reports, work schedules, and maintenance records.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company procedures.
Support testing and commissioning activities for mechanical systems.
Requirements
Diploma, ITE certification, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Relevant experience in the construction or engineering industry is preferred.
Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools.
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
Pleasant personality, good communication and coordination skills.
Team player and self-motivated.
Familiarity with construction safety standards is an advantage.
