Mechanical Engineer

Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Mechanical Engineer within the Sciences Po Cybersecurity Association. The Mechanical Engineer will work on the design and development of mechanical systems, including creating prototypes, utilizing computer-aided design tools, and solving engineering challenges. The role will also involve collaboration with team members to ensure timely project completion, conducting research and development, and contributing to various innovative engineering initiatives aligned with cybersecurity objectives.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Mechanical Engineering, including a strong foundation in conceptual and applied engineering principles
• Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for generating and analyzing mechanical system designs
• Experience with Project Management to successfully plan, execute, and oversee engineering tasks
• Ability to conduct Research and Development (R&D) activities to innovate and enhance mechanical systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills to work in interdisciplinary teams
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Familiarity with cybersecurity applications in engineering is a plus
