Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Equipment)

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct quantity take-offs, bill of quantities

2. Communicate with customers on enquiries

3. Read, understand and interpret proposal documents, drawings and specifications

4. Prepare progress reports (daily / weekly / monthly) for Management

5. Ensure site work adheres to timeline projected by site-in-charge

6. To raise, monitor and solve all issues concerning site work, time and resource planning during projects to Site-in-charge

7. Responsible for the project quality and delivery schedule

8. Responsible to identify and record piping size, fittings and grade used in accordance with the isometric drawings

9. Coordinate with QC for all the related inspection and NDT requirement.

10. Ensure Safety, Health and Environment procedures and the relevant industrial rules and regulations are complied with.

11. Making of Safe Work Procedure and/or Methods of Statement.

12. Coordination of meetings, on-site or off-site activities

13. Purchase/Procurement of Materials to be used for work being carried out.

14. Risk assessment and other related documents to be prepared for specific task.

15. Perform repair/maintenance of equipment as per assigned

16. Manage, train and supervise group of workers/supervisors

17. Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the reporting manager

Requirements:

1. Overhaul experience of large turbine compressor manufactured by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries

2. Min Technical Certificate with at least 10 years of relevant experiences.

3. Knowledge of Japanese to liaise with Engineer from Japan headquarter and able to read and translate drawings in Japanese language
