Conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical components and systems for Maxiton's refuse compactors and related equipment.
Conduct structural and functional analysis to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, and manufacturing) to integrate smart technologies into mechanical systems.
2. Prototyping and Testing:
Create and refine prototypes, ensuring alignment with technical specifications.
Plan and execute testing protocols for durability, efficiency, and safety of mechanical systems.
Analyze test data and implement design improvements to optimize product performance.
3. Manufacturing Support:
Provide technical expertise to production teams to ensure seamless manufacturing processes.
Develop and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including CAD models, drawings, and BOMs.
Identify and resolve design-related manufacturing issues promptly.
4. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Assist after-sales and customer service teams in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues in the field.
Recommend and implement design updates to improve reliability and reduce maintenance requirements.
5. Innovation and Research:
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance product offerings.
Contribute to the development of next-generation solutions, such as energy-efficient systems and IoT-enabled equipment.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience: 2+ years in mechanical design, preferably in waste management, heavy equipment, or hydraulics.
Technical Skills:Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Strong understanding of hydraulics, structural mechanics, and material properties. Familiarity with IoT or sensor integration is an advantage.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
