The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible to oversee the Jalan Papan Workshop Vehicles (tipper trucks, lorries, diesel trucks, no-plate/ vehicles) or Clementi Workshop Heavy Machineries (excavators, articulated trucks etc).
- To provide day to day hands-on supervision of Workshop mechanics and ensure safety, quality and productivity of the work.
- To ensure that vehicles are either serviced in accordance with the maintenance plan or repair in accordance with the highest of speed, quality and reliability.
- To ensure that each vehicle has a full documented history record of works being carried out
- To act as a technical expert in the Workshop, advising mechanics on repair and sharing knowledge, for example through regular toolbox talks
- Well versed in technical aspects to work with mechanics on finding the vehicle faults easily through efficient troubleshooting method
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field such as Logistics or Supply Chain
- Prior experience of 2 years preferred in related industry or Vehicle Workshop or Heavy Machinery environment
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Good interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel to constructions sites when required.
Working Hours
Monday - Friday: 8am - 6pm + Alternate Sat: 8am-6pm
