Job Summary
Design and develop mechanical products for hydro-power applications, utilizing CAD tools and engineering expertise to create, verify, and support innovative valve and piping solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical products including hydro-power valves, piping, and fittings to meet project specifications
- Prepare and issue Bill of Materials (BOM) lists accurately for project components
- Use CAD and 3D CAD software to plan, develop, design, and verify mechanical design projects
- Troubleshoot mechanical design issues and devise effective solutions to resolve them promptly
- Research and stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in mechanical design to enhance product innovation
- Provide technical support to internal teams and stakeholders as required
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience using CADD software such as AutoCAD and Unigraphics (UG) NX, and FEA software like Ansys Mechanical
- At least 1 year of experience as a mechanical design engineer in the hydro-power industry
- Sound knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings and creating 3D models
- Strong verbal, written, and communication skills to collaborate effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
