Mechanical Engineer (Marine)

Responsibilities:

. Handles all mechanical related lab setup for in-house FAT of systems, including coupling and gearbox selection.

. Hands on troubleshooting and resolution of system issues during all stages of project (development, setup, FAT, SAT, warranty).

. Responsible for any mechanical system design stages of development.

. Generate mechanical drawings for effective communication with suppliers.

. Create systems and process flows for all relevant work to standardize work and reduce cycle times.

. Create and manage all relevant documentation.

. Any other responsibility as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

. Hands on experience with vessel mechanical and engine systems.

. Experience with engineering design software. Direct hands-on experience with SOLIDWORKS is a plus.

. Familiarity with maritime HM&E systems and naval construction processes.

. Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

. Team player and good communication skills.

. Physically fit and able to work in strenuous circumstances.
